In 2006 all US schools that participate in a Federal Lunch or Breakfast program were
required to establish a
“Local School wellness policy” (see USDA website).
To help you follow your specific Schools guidelines we have included the manufacturer's
nutritional information for the food products we carry.
Please be aware that some district policies make a distinction between items that could
be consumed at school and those such as cookie dough that would be baked off campus.

Most of the details of the Local School wellness policy are left up to the various districts and/or individual schools,
so check with your administration for the specifics of your policy.
The local wellness policy can, but is not required to, cover fundraising activities.
According to AFRDS “to date, there are no federal or state restrictions on food or
beverage products offered as part of a school fundraiser when the sale of products
in intended to take place off the school grounds and after the end of the school day.”
